In saying that, I did A LOT of research on this model and company. There are other retailers out there that sell this series of beds, but I went with Amazon because of my experiences with Amazon. The bed came in 2 boxes weighing 83lbs total. The shipping was free, and arrived in under a week. Set up took less than 1 hour with my wife holding the side rails in place while i put it together. We are impressed with the mahogany finish, and this is REAL wood, not particle board. Hard to find real wood these days, let alone in the $300 range. It looks beautiful in our bedroom, and is just about the right height.It comes up to the back of knee-thigh area, so you can "sit" into bed. All in all this was a great purchase, quick delivery, ease of set up, real wood, great finish.
