Honestly though, to most the Tassimo Single Serve Units are no different that the numerous Keurig models on the market; I mean, after all, it is pretty much just the same type of device right?? Well, there's several differences in the product that clearly defines the system.STYLE For styling the Tassimo T45 isn't very different than most of the other Single Cup Brewing Stations on the Market and this likely won't win any awards for looks but it isn't so hideous that you don't want it in your kitchen either. OPERATION Brewing is as simple as Filling the Water tank, lifting the lever and installing a coffee pack, placing a cup on the stand and pushing brew and if desired tweaking the brew by pushing the brewing button within 20 seconds of brewing completion. The Keurig was cool, but difficult to work (friends always broke it) and despite all the selection I hadn't been able to find a coffee that I really enjoyed. Not to mention, I love my lattes.I very skeptically bought the TASSIMO, and I love it. While the milk does sometimes spill, which is rather unsanitary, I think its totally worth all of the perks. I haven't yet found a coffee I didn't think was delicious, and Bed Bath & Beyond offers a good selection at a good price. Plus, the machine is easy to use - even at 5am. I also like that more of my mugs fit under the TASSIMO than my Keurig, and the addition of a water filter. As far as the cappuccinos go, I'm usually a total snob. But as noted by others, the piercing unit doesn't work. About 1 cup out of 10, it doesn't work properly, doesn't brew, and leaves coffee grounds all over the inside.Tassimo was aware of this defect and made great fanfare about sending out a new piercing unit -- which was no improvement. No cup of coffee is worth this aggravation. We bought a Kuerig and so far (3 weeks) things are fine. |
